Other: This story has a real fable feel, like, the logic of it doesn't make much sense but that's ok, it's a fairy tale kind of story with a lot of whimsy.Altogether, with its repeated rhyme, gentle main character and beautiful illustrations, this is a gentle, lovely picture book. There are lots of small things to spot in each double page image, so much so that I couldn’t help but just stare at each page for ages, taking in the wonderful and fun illustrations and the wonderful detail!

I would recommend this title for purchase for those collections that have strong friendship themes and that need materials on night activities and fans of Lucy Fleming. However, during the night’s reign, Ella flitters and flies ‘ collecting light’, drawn to ‘ everything that [glows] and [glimmers ] in the darkness’.It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.
